Crystal-clear water is not luck: it comes down to three things — circulation, filtration and chemical balance. When all three work, the water stays clean with little effort.
1. Circulation and filtration
The pump should run enough hours a day to filter the whole pool volume — in summer, typically 8 to 12 hours. Without circulation, no treatment works well.
Clean the skimmer and pump baskets regularly and backwash the filter when the pressure rises.
2. Water balance
The ideal pH sits between 7.2 and 7.6. Outside this range, the disinfectant loses effectiveness and the water can irritate skin and eyes.
Keep disinfection at an adequate, steady level — a little and often beats a lot now and then.
3. Physical cleaning
Remove leaves and debris from the surface, brush the walls and vacuum the floor. Built-up dirt consumes disinfectant and feeds algae.
A weekly routine prevents the bigger problems. If you would rather not deal with it, that is exactly what we do under a maintenance plan.
